PHAs (polyhydroxy acids) are the latest skincare super-ingredient. They work in similar ways to other acids, but are more gentle, as they penetrate less deep, and don't increase the skin's sensitivity to sun; and have the extra benefit of helping with the skin's hydration by forming a protective barrier to lock in moisture. In addition to lactobionic acid (one of the main PHAs), this toner contains hyaluronic acid and ceramides to moisturise and soothe the skin while the PHA is exfoliating the skin's outer layer.
